About this Course

In a world that may be overwhelming, take some time for yourself and learn the ancient art of Karate-Do. This art was born in Okinawa through the marriage of Okinawan folk wrestling and Chinese Kung Fu, raised in Japan, and is now loved worldwide. The regular practice of Karate will help you build strength through sport, confidence through self-defence, and focus through Kata — giving you the skills to take on new and exciting challenges beyond the dojo. All students are required to become members of Karate BC (Sport governing body for Karate in British Columbia) through Kumakai Karate Vancouver. There is an annual fee of $45 to $80 depending on age and belt level.
