About this Course

Transit Education Workshop for Seniors Learn how to use public transit to access green space with confidence. This workshop includes an interactive workshop, optional transit bus excursion to Jericho Beach Park followed by Trishaw Rides at the park. Limited spots available for the bus excursion and priority given to folks who can attend both the education workshop and the excursion. The workshop session includes: - 12:30 pm – 1:30pm (Wesbrook Community Centre): 60-minute interactive workshop by BEST on using transit to access green spaces. - 1:45pm – 2:15 pm: A guided group transit ride to Jericho Beach Park - 2:15pm – 3:45pm: Trishaw rides in Jericho Beach Park in collaboration with Vancouver Cycling Without Age - 3:45pm – 4:30pm: Transit bus ride back to Wesbrook Community Centre This workshop is funded by Translink, in collaboration with Better Environmentally Sound Transportation (BEST) and Vancouver Cycling Without Age.
