About this Course

Join us to discover the stories, knowledge, and traditions preserved within the “中文宝库” of the UBC Asian Library. Step into the world of Chinese language, literature, and culture at the Asian Library of the University of British Columbia. “中文宝库” (Chinese Treasure Vault) offers an engaging introduction and short guided tour showcasing one of the largest and most significant Chinese-language collections in North America. Jing Liu, Chinese Studies Librarian at the UBC Asian Library, will present an introduction to the “Chinese Treasure Vault,” share the story behind the Asian Library building, and discuss her research on Chinese immigration history. She will also speak about her academic connections and collaborations with Professor Chia-ying Yeh, offering insights into Chinese literary and cultural studies at UBC.
