How does your garden grow? If you’re new to gardening or wondering how to have a successful vegetable garden, join UNA resident and UBC researcher Risa Sargent, who will be sharing her tips and tricks about starting vegetables from seed, container vegetable gardening, soil and soil amendments, and more. This workshop is free. Registration in advance is encouraged. -- Risa Sargent is an associate professor in the Plant Science program in the Faculty of Land and Food Systems at UBC. Her research focuses on how agricultural systems can be designed and managed to minimize disruptions to critical ecosystem services such as pollination.
