This Site is owned and operated by the University Neighbourhoods Association (the “UNA”). All access to and use of this Site is subject to these terms and conditions (“Terms”). Please review them carefully as they affect your legal rights and liabilities.

All use of this Site is subject to these Terms. You agree not to use our Site for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these Terms. By using the Site, you are fully accepting the terms, conditions and disclaimers contained in these Terms. We may change the Terms from time to time without notice, and such amendments will be effective once posted on or accessible from the Site.
These Terms of Use govern your use of the Site, and do not modify or amend any other agreement(s) in place between you and the UNA.
The UNA is a community based organization that manages local infrastructure, regulates matters of concern and offers programs and activities within residential neighbourhoods located at the University of British Columbia (the “Neighbourhoods”).
Members of the public and residents of the Neighbourhoods who utilize the services and facilities provided by the UNA may access and use this Site to learn more about the UNA, its governance and its community-based recreational programs, events and servicers, and to submit inquiries or complaints or provide comments or feedback.
Users authorized by the UNA to have access to the Site’s portal and member’s only areas (“Authorized Users”) can use this Site to subscribe to service, register for program and activities and communicate with the UNA (“Portal”). Authorized Users will be asked to establish a user account, including information comprising a User Profile and a unique login and password (“Account”).
You are responsible for all activities undertaken by you when using the Site. Your use of the Site is at your own risk. While efforts are made to verify the information provided on this Site, the UNA does not guarantee the quality, accuracy, completeness or timeliness of the information on this Site. Some information on this Site has been provided by third parties and this information has not necessarily been verified by the UNA .
· Under the UNA’s Constitution and Bylaws membership in the UNA is available to persons 19 years of age and older who are resident in the Neighbourhoods (ie., Hampton Place, Hawthorn Place, Chancellor Place East Campus or Westbrook Place).
· Membership in the UNA is governed by the Constitution, Bylaws and policies of the UNA. Nothing in these Terms of Use is intended to alter the terms of membership as set out in these documents.
· Members are entitled to access certain membership benefits, services and information by accessing and using the Site. Members who do not wish to register for an Account to access membership benefits may contact the UNA for more information about how to access UNA information and services.
· Members who register for an Account will be registered for the UBC Alert system which generates text, email or other electronic notifications in the event of an emergency situation affecting residents of the Neighbourhoods. Members who open an Account, are consenting to the collection, use and disclosure of their personal information, including contact information, for these purposes.
· Opening an Account using the Site also entitles members to receive a UNA Card. The Card may be picked up at authorized UNA locations. You may be required to present proof of residence in the Neighbourhoods when claiming your UNA Card.
We have implemented reasonable technology and security features, as well as internal guidelines, to safeguard the privacy of your personal information from unauthorised access or improper use. While we make reasonable efforts to ensure that your information is secure on our system, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you transmit to us or that you access using the Site, and you do so at your own risk and your use of our Site demonstrates your assumption of this risk.

Personal information collected using the Site is collected under the authority of the British Columbia Personal Information Protection Act, and regulations thereto.

Except where prohibited by law, you agree that exclusive jurisdiction and venue in any legal proceeding directly or indirectly arising out of or relating to the Site will be in the British Columbia courts sitting in Vancouver, British Columbia.
